Indiana American Heart Association at the Capitol!

You're invited to register for the 2025 American Heart Association's Day at the Capitol on Monday, February 17th in Indianapolis. Together we will advocate for laws that protect our children, prevent heart disease and stroke, and make a difference in the lives of Hoosiers.

On February 17th, check -in begins at 10:00 A.M. at the Indiana State Library (315 W Ohio St, Indianapolis, IN 46202). Light breakfast options and a healthy lunch will be provided at no additional cost, followed by a training to prepare for your meetings with legislators.

We ask that all attendees also join us for a pre-event training call on February 11th from 6:30-7:30 PM. Call-in details will be emailed out the week beforehand.

The call will prepare you for your Day at the Capitol experience and will include:
• An overview of our event activities
• Review of the "asks" we will be making of our legislators
• What to expect when meeting with your legislators that day.
• An update on the current legislative environment.

This year we will be advocating for funding health programs to better Indiana, including:
  • Creating cardiac emergency response plans for all schools
  • Creating a state-wide stroke registry
